Over a month ago, MEMRI published information and an analysis comprising an early warning, titled "Signs of Possible War in September – October," by MEMRI President Yigal Carmon. In addition, MEMRI translated and published two clips from Iranian TV. One was from an Iranian TV broadcast of a military parade showcasing Iran's massive UAV and missile arsenal, as the announcer stated: "Israel will be erased from the face of the earth. Death to Israel!" He added that if Israel makes a "mistake," Tel Aviv and Haifa will be razed to the ground, and that the IRGC wants to destroy Israel and will do so soon.

A second clip from Iranian TV translated and published by MEMRI was of a speech by IRGC Gen. Mohammad Bagheri, who is the Chief of Staff of Iran's armed forces. He delivered the speech as Iranian soldiers stood in formation on a plaza emblazoned with the inscription "Israel should be erased" in Persian and in Hebrew.
